Hate Crime Workshops

Theatr Cynefin were commissioned by the Welsh Refugee Council to co-design and deliver workshops that would help asylum seekers and refugees understand their rights in relation to hate crime law in the UK.

Before we could really get started the pandemic hit and the workshops became and online experience. Forum theatre and then a debate worked well but audiences were very low because of the difficulty in refugees accessing the internet during lockdown.
