This summer marked an important milestone as we embarked on the first stage of training trainers who are set to deliver the Coming to Our Senses course, in preparation for an exciting scaling-up phase slated for late 2025. Stage 1 consists of a three-day intensive program aptly titled ‘The Art of Looking at Ourselves.’ The North Wales training session was graciously hosted by Golygfa Gwydyr at Caerdroia, a unique labyrinth that was thoughtfully created in the heart of the Gwydyr forest by Theatr Cynefin two decades ago. It felt particularly special to return to this enchanting site, now beautifully restored after a significant portion was devastated by recent storms. The ongoing love and meticulous care that Golygfa Gwydyr has consistently demonstrated over the years is truly remarkable, and the site has successfully transformed into a vibrant centre dedicated to wellbeing and nature-focused activities.

In South Wales, the training was hosted by the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board at The Grange Hospital. We were fortunate to have access to the most stunning walled garden, which is diligently maintained by a dedicated group of enthusiastic volunteers. In total, around 30 individuals participated in the training, with 16 of them progressing to the second stage of this educational journey, which involves the online course titled ‘How to Teach Coming to Our Senses.’
